GCC Araku Valley Coffee gets Organic Certification from APEDA

 
















The Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) has achieved another milestone as it has got the organic certification for coffee and black pepper from the Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). This certification would provide scope for the higher price of the coffee and pepper. 

A total of 1,900 tribal farmers of Gondupakalu, Lambasingi and Kappalu clusters under Chintapalli division are engaged in coffee cultivation in 2,184.76 acres

  డౌనూరులో కాఫీ ప్రాసెసింగ్ సెంటర్ రూ.4 కోట్లతో నిర్మాణం » గడచిన ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో వెయ్యి టన్నులుకొనుగోలు చేసిన జీసీసీ రూ.20 కోట్ల టర్నోవర్ (విశాఖపట్నం-ఆంధ్రజ్యోతి) కాఫీపై గిరిజన సహకార సంస్థ (జీసీసీ) దృష్టిసారించింది. విశా ఖ ఏజెన్సీలో విస్తృతంగా సాగులో వున్న కాఫీని జీసీసీ.. రైతుల నుం చి సేకరించి, శుద్ధి చేసి జాతీయ మార్కెట్లో విక్రయిస్తోంది. మా ర్చితో ముగిసిన ఆర్థిక సంవత్సరంలో వేయి టన్నుల కాపీని కొనుగో లు చేసింది. వేయి టన్నుల్లో 480.28 టన్నులు పార్చుమెంట్ కాఫీ కాగా, ఇంకో 515.81 టన్నుల చెర్రీ, పార్చుమెంట్కు కిలోకు రూ.285 చొప్పున, చెర్రీకి రూ.145 చెల్లించింది. మొత్తంగా చూసుకుంటే కాఫీ లావాదేవీల ద్వారా రూ.20 కోట్ల టర్నోవర్ సాధించింది. ఒక్క కాఫీ ద్వారా రూ.1.5 కోట్ల వరకు లాభం రావడంతో అందులో 50 లక్షల మొత్తాన్ని సామాజిక సేవ కింద తిరిగి గిరిజనులకు ఇవ్వాలని నిర్ణ యించింది. ఈ నిధులతో గిరిజనులు కాఫీ ఆరబెట్టుకోవడానికి ఉప యోగపడే టార్పాలిన్లు ఇవ్వాలని నిర్ణయించింది. బెంగళూరులో ప్రాసెసింగ్ సేకరించిన కాఫీని ఎంత చక్కగా ప్రాసెసింగ్ చేస్తే అంత మం చి ధర లభిస్తుంది. అందుకని జీసీసీ ఇక్కడ సేకరించిన కాఫీని బెంగ
